The Provoke Trainer is a unique version of our morphing karambit designed to give you an edge where no innovation or specialized material can: practice. With its unsharpened blade, the Trainer lets you familiarize yourself with a karambit with reduced risk, perfect for first responders who need to know their tools like the back of their hands before going into high-pressure situations. Otherwise, the Trainer is every bit a Provoke, with the same innovative Kinematic technology to keep the blade neatly and safely tucked away until needed.

We think of designer Joe Caswell as somewhat of a mad scientist. When we got an eyeful of the sketches that were to become the Provoke, we knew he was destined to become one of the most innovative designers the knife world has ever seen.

The Kinematic opening mechanism has pulled the folder into the future whether it s ready or not. Thumb pressure on the upper crossbar sets the chain reaction in motion, causing the blade to lunge to action while you ve got a firm grasp on the handle. Compared to traditional folding karambits, this is much safer as the blade cannot inadvertently close on your fingers. It s crafted of aircraft-grade 6061 aluminum for supreme toughness. In true Joe fashion, the pocket clip is also a world s first sitting almost completely flush with the handle and activated with a light press of the thumb.

How Kinematic Works
Nudge the upper crossbar with your thumb while the rest of your fingers firmly grasp the handle and the blade lunges to life and locks into place. Shift the discrete lever at the base of the finger loop and the blade retreats into its closed position.
