To Make A Gasket: 1. Clean Both Flange Surfaces. Remove Paint, Dirt, Grease Or Old Gasket Completely. 2. Spray Permatex Surface Prep Activator On One Surface Only. Allow To Dry 1-2 Minutes. 3. Apply A Continuous Bead Of Sealant To The Unprimed Surface. 4. Assemble Mating Surfaces With Minimal Lateral Movement. Excess Sealant Can Be Wiped Away With A Cloth. To Dress A Gasket: 1. Clean Both Flange Surfaces. Remove Paint, Dirt, Grease Or Old Gasket Completely. 2. Spray Permatex Surface Prep Activator Onto Both Flange Surfaces. Allow To Dry 1-2 Minutes. 3. Completely Cover Both Sides Of The Pre-Cut Gasket With Sealant. 4. Place Coated Gasket On Flange And Assemble Mating Surfaces With Minimal Lateral Movement.
